Demo Extension (Trial extension in TurboActivate wizard)

Every time I create a demo extension and try to enter it into an Activation window of a machine that has an expired demo time it is says that the number isn't valid as if the number being created is the completely wrong format."You must enter a valid product key before activating online. Check your product key, and type it again."

Is there a trick to get this to work or an different area to enter this number?

Also, seems like an extra button should be added to the TurboActive also under "Activate online now"called "Enter Demo Extension"just to make the wording more appropriate for demo extensions

thx!

Happy New Year all!

Happy New Year, Steve.

The trial extension isn't a product key and the TurboActivate wizard (TurboActivate.exe) doesn't have anything to do with trials or trial extension. We recommend creating a simple dialog in your application where the user can paste the trial extension. Then use the ExtendTrial() function to do the actual trial extending.

Thx Sam!We got it up and running now and finally posted on the website....8)Let's hope your protection holds better then our original home brew system.Unfortunately, we are an audio software company and the fiercest hackers and crackers in the world go after music/audio software and bust even usb dongle protection wide open........heheheSo this will be the true test of LimeLM ....... 😎 We are releasing our next major version in 6 months so it would be good to see if this version gets taken down to see if anything needs to be modified before we move to that version.Fingers crossed!

cya!
