I can't reproduce this crash using your installer. It updated successfully.
Can you give me a small example project that demonstrates the crash? When does the crash happen (Immediately, after the user is presented with the changes, after the user clicks "Update", etc, etc)?
Also, why are you installing to the programs menu? This folder requires admin permission, but there's no reason to install there. Just install to "C:\Program Files\..." -- it's where your users expect programs to be installed. At the very least give the user a choice.

see the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

We've covered this before. This is not a problem with wyUpdate, wyBuild, or the AutomaticUpdater. This is a problem with Microsoft's ill-conceived CAS (Code Access Security) for .NET 2.0. In other words, tell your users to configure all .NET assemblies to run as full trust.
If you can't do that, then just use wyUpdate built for .NET 4.0 (Microsoft removed CAS for .NET 4.0 -- thus you won't have this problem).

there is no way i can fix the problem can you please release a fix or remotely control my computer i need help
Did you try using the .NET 4.0 version of wyUpdate?
yes i did try that but it still showed that error i don't know what is wrong it is a problem when trying to update the wyupdater itself it fails for example: when a user finds an update for my game they click update then it checks your servers for updates then it downloads my updates well when you released that 2.6.9.0 update it showed that error and it won't update the wyupdater please help me.
Can you copy and paste the exact error that is shown when you use the .NET 4.0 wyUpdate?
never mind i fixed it when i changed the setting to .net 4.0 and i built the wyupdate it did not change the wyupdate.exe and client.wyc files i had to change the folder then it worked now i need to find a way to release the fix to my users any suggestions.
Well, there are a few ways you can do this:
thanks for your help i love wybuild keep up the good work on continuing to update wybuild, wyupdate, and automatic updater control.
