Partial update of binaries

Hi,

We are facing a strange issue that at certain customer sites, when updates are applied using wyUpdate, though wyUpdate reports update successful, not all the binaries are updated to the latest version. Some of the binaries continue to be of the old version. Due to this mismatch of binaries, application fails to function correctly.

We are unable to figure out what could potentially lead to this state of partial update of binaries. Could it be because some of those dlls where locked and hence could not be updated? Pls note that some of the binaries are used by a web-service hosted in IIS. Should we explicitly stop the webservice before the update? If not, could it result in this situation? When else could this situation arise

Well, if wyUpdate fails to update it will rollback the update.

1. Are you using our version of wyUpdate? (We can't support custom versions of wyUpdate).

2. Are you actually showing errors when they happen? What do the errors say?
