When adding the Automatic Updater control to a VB .NET 4.6 project on Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise, the GUID field is nowhere to be found. I can of course set the value from code, but given that it has disappeared from the designer, I wonder if it is still required. Can I just ignore this GUID field? What is the purpose of it anyways?

We can't reproduce this. The GUID is there. It's under the "Updater" group.
