Hey Steve,
This might be the problem: Why do I get a "404 not found error" when downloading wyserver.wys?
Hey guys!
we just switched to a Windows server from Linux for hosting cuz we need an ASP.NET site but it doesn't allow to download a wyserver.wys file from it.Does it have to be hosted on Linux?if I change the extension to wyserver.zip then the file will download fine.
any suggestion how to fix this without going back to Linux or buying another hosting account just for updates? We are on a shared hosting account and they claim it can't be fixed on there end...8(
any hacks to use this with Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive? ...since I already have those accounts...8)or do we need to add FTP into our C# application as a fix? trying to avoid that...8)
thx for any tips!
Steve

Yeah...that was it, but the Godaddy customer support guy said it was NOT possible to change this with shared hosting....I went into the Plesk Control Panel and found a brand new icon named "Web Server Settings" that wasn't there before.I was able to add"application/octet-stream .wys" there and now it works!
looks like they literally just added the ability to change MIME types with shared hosting cuz it had a big NEW sticker next to it......whew!! all good!
thx guys...keep up the amazing work!time for some new products too.....heheheLove everything you guys make so far! 8)
