We have a user who has installed the Windows 10 Tech Preview on his Windows 7 computer and immediately he tried to run our product (he has been an activated user since 2013) he got a message to say the trial has expired. I haven't tested this myself, just putting this out there.
When Windows 10 goes into beta we'll test TurboActivate / TurboFloat on it (right now it's in "alpha", or as Microsoft calls it, "Technology Preview").
My guess is the user changed more than just their Operating system (for example the harddrive as well), so they'll need to re-activate.
