Also, what system are you running on (Windows XP, Windows XP x64, Vista (x86/x64), Windows 7)? Does this happen every time you run your update?

Unfortunately there's not enough info in the wyBuild project (it looks fine).
I take it you're using the AutomaticUpdater, correct? Are you passing custom parameters to wyUpdate? Does wyUpdate fail immediately, or does updating start?
What happens when you just double click wyUpdate.exe?
