However, the change from 3.x to 4.x is that TurboActivate now *always* uses HTTPS, no matter what. Previously it only preferred HTTPS and only under certain circumstances (the data was still encrypted, but sometimes the encrypted blobs were sent over HTTP).
You say this was documented "since day one", but I just had a look at your API docs on archive.org and that seems to be incorrect (https://web.archive.org/web/20160827124501/https://wyday.com/limelm/help/api/limelm.pkey.generate/) - it certainly wasn't documented back then.
