building updates (command line): improvement [Solved]

building updates (command line): improvement [Solved]

Postby archaeopteryx » April 11th, 2011, 5:31 am

Hi,

I see you incorporated some of my recommendations (tooltips) into the new version :-)
This motivates me to give some further feedback that hopefully help to make wybuild even better:

This is the information I get while building updates from the command line

wybuild.cmd.exe myProject.wyp /bu -vs="0.20" -ve="0.20" -add="myFileList.xml"
wyBuild Commandline Builder v2.6.12.0

Building updates: Failed
[Error]: The file 'xyz.dll' cannot be found on disk.
[Error]: The file 'xyz.bin' cannot be found on disk.

This output should be more informative IMHO. What I'm missing:
* the full path to the file that is missing
* the version(s) that is/are actually referencing the missing file.

Without that information it's a kind of hard to identify the place where the offending file is defined.

Thanks for taking my proposal into consideration.

Regards
Andreas

Ok, we'll try to squeeze that in for the next release.

wyBuild 2.6.16 is now out -- we've added this.
